Federal authorities obtained a warrant to review thousands of recently discovered emails that may be related to the previously-closed investigation of Hillary Clinton and her private, unsecured email server. The newly found emails are linked to Hillary’s aide Huma Abedin and her sex-crazed estranged husband, Anthony Weiner. Reportedly, the emails were uncovered during an investigation of Weiner, who is suspected of sexting with a 15-year-old girl.
There are reportedly 650,000 emails on Weiner’s laptop, and it’s unknown how many of them may be relevant to the Clinton server investigation. Obviously, it will take time to sift through them all. Though some believe that the emails are merely duplicates of those already reviewed by the FBI, it’s impossible to be certain of that at this point.
So, why are these new emails such a big deal?
First of all, Abedin swore under oath while testifying in a lawsuit brought against the State Department by Judicial Watch that she had handed over all of her devices that could hold emails relevant to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
The question now is, did she know that there were more emails on her husband’s laptop? If she lied under oath, Abedin could face up to five years in jail.
Beyond that, everyone wants to know what’s in those emails. As authorities comb through the thousands and thousands of emails found on Weiner’s computer, speculations abound and rumors are flying about whether any new, stunning information will be revealed about Hillary or Huma.
If you turn to social media, you’ll find a number of theories about the emails. Hector Morenco believes that soon the world will find out that Clinton and Obama are “at the center of the Syrian conflict.”
